Ratnadeep Hosiery was founded in 1984 by Mr. Girish Shah, a humble yet ambitious man who migrated from his village to Mumbai with little more than courage in his pocket and a dream in his heart. With perseverance and an unshakable work ethic, he started a small manufacturing unit focused on producing quality women’s undergarments especially panties at a time when comfort and affordability were rare to find together.

From modest beginnings, Mr. Shah built the company brick by brick, gaining the trust of distributors and retailers across India. His secret was simple: Never compromise on quality, and always understand the needs of real women.
The Legacy Continues with a New Vision
Now passed on to the next generation, the legacy lives on through his son, Vatsal Shah, who brought a fresh wave of innovation while honoring the brand’s roots.

With a strong eye for branding, design, and market expansion, Vatsal gave a new identity to this legacy by launching VELLINA a brand born from the house of Ratnadeep Hosiery that focuses on modern, stylish, and skin-friendly women’s undergarments.

VELLINA represents not just a product it represents elegance, empowerment, and everyday comfort. Under his leadership, the business transitioned from bulk manufacturing to building a brand that speaks to the modern woman confident, independent, and uncompromising on comfort.
